I was listening, to LBC this morning they mentioned a survey regarding siblings they said that majority of parents preferred boys to girls although they loved them equally this brought me to back when I was a child my parents definitely treated us differently than my brother especially in the Caribbean culture my brother was allowed to what he liked is that true in other households?

It would be so much easier to read if you put in the odd full stop, as it difficult to understand otherwise without reading it several times.

Anyway, I came from a family with 7 boys and one girl. She was known as Snow White. We were just Dwarves. I think we were all treated differently as we were all very different.

I think that on average there may be some truth with that- but may it is just one parent goes with one and one with the other. Quite a few families it is Father and daughter and mOther and son- or vica versa. I htink I heard the radio article and it was saying mums were much harder on their daughters than their sons and I think there is definitely some truth in that.

Being treated differently starts from the first day of suckling,

because boys are breast fed on average 1/3rd longer than their sisters.

This is because mum's allow boys to make greater demands on them than their daughters.

This one might think would make a difference to long-term survival, but it's not the case,

as girls are rather more durable and generally easier to raise than us ailing and sickly guys.

When the army lose some of their super-fit soldiers overnight on a foggy November evening they get helicopters with headlights to find them because the chances are some will die of exposure before daybreak.

When the army lose women over-night they leave them where they are, as they'll survive very well.

    • I’d also recommend Paul for electrical work. He came round the other week to help us out with a handful of jobs (installing an SPD, new light fittings, installing a dimmer switch, a bathroom fan). His quote was cheaper than what I got from others, he turned up on time and he got the job done quickly.
    • We’d like to add our recommendation for Lukasz and team at L&L Building & Maintenance.  Lukasz has recently installed a roof terrace for us, and we’ve found him a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We contacted about a dozen recommended builders and found his quote very competitive. During the build his team delivered quality work, they were no hassle in the house at all and they kept the place tidy every day. The terrace looks great, and we’re very happy customers. What stood out in particular was Lukasz’s responsiveness, right from discussing quotes to follow-up during the build. Lukasz often checked in and was always available when we needed him.  We’ll definitely contact Lukasz again for future building work and we’d happily recommend him to others looking for a reliable builder.   Lukasz Kugaczewski L&L Building & Maintenance 07926651960 [email protected] www.landl-build.com
    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
