Birthday venue needed for 13 yr old - any suggestions welcome.

Our eldest daughter is turning 13 (eek !) and we're seeking a suitable venue to host a little gathering for her.


The rates at the Mag are reasonable and the best slot for us would be the 2-6 but as she will be inviting friends

from her current secondary and old primary school it will also be a mini reunion so I think their 2 - 6 slot maybe

a little too short for everyone to have a good meal, chin wag and watch her blow out the candles.


Popped into Dos Amigos - The Mexican Rest on LLane and they have a room upstairs for hire. Anyone have any reviews ?


Expecting around 30 people and would like a private area / separate room.


Maybe I am asking for the impossible but any suggestions would be very much appreciated. xx

      I suspect this fine was anticipated by RM in their aim of getting everyone to use their more expensive tracked and signed for services. I had an important letter to send and was reluctant to use the ordinary and unreliable 1st class post so sent it 'signed for' at a cost of over twice as much. It's like the unreliability of 1st and 2nd class has become a marketing tool for more expensive services. Paranoid - moi?

      Without doubt, he is getting a bad rap from the media and no doubt he is a sincere well-intentioned person but he is so expressionless. If only his face could break out into a smile occasionally then that would help. The deadpan, dummy look does not inspire.  I look forward to the day when he might venture out and  make the odd humorous quip with a smile. Tony Blair could do that rather well.  If I ever needed a defence lawyer and I had to choose between them both, I know which one I would choose. Anythings possible with the right determination and a good coach.
