Problem:

sometimes when I download CDs onto my PC/iTunes it will store a song(s) as a separate 'album', especially compilation/mix CDs, the worst case being every song on one CD was filed as a separate CD.

Is there a way I can move these 'albums' into the correct file, and in the case of mix CDs into the correct order?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, I posted something along these lines ages ago. I've got a load of DJ Kicks, Fabric etc compilations that splinter into separate files when added to the Itunes library. Annoying. I also have a number of albums on there that simply dont play anymore. Any help would be great.

You need to go into Preferences or Options (depending on which version of iTunes) and set a switch to say 'do not organise files when importing'. It might be under Importing > Advances Options or similar. (I'll check) if I get a moment.)

At the moment it's reorganising by artist, album etc., which of course produces daft results for mix CDs.

The problem is the business model of these courier companies that do not invest in infrastructure or depots, but just outsource everything and set "contractor" drivers impossible targets. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2019/dec/08/christmas-parcel-delivery-drivers-driven-to-the-edge
