Luckily it's warmer than it was a few weeks ago - it's breaking up the road but I did worry that in freezing temperatures we could have ended up with a nasty patch of ice. The water was running too quickly in the most part but you wouldn't want to take any chances on a roundabout.

I sent a repair request to the council two days ago - hopefully matters were already in train but might have spurred them on, never know. Also never know whether it's Thames Water, TFL or Southwark responsible - probably part of the reason nothing happened straightaway.

That pothole is hazardous to say the least and with every passing car, it gets much worse.

I've been regularly tweeting Thames Water updates with photographs, copying the council highway engineers in, and TW have now confirmed by Twitter that the Goose Green roundabout repairs are booked in for Thursday and the Lytcott Grove repairs (which are less urgent) are booked to be finished no later than 12/02/17.

You can see the blue spray paint on the pavements indicating where the burst mains are running.

Ha! Apparently a proposed branch of Nando's on Stamford Street, applied to Southwark for planning permission a few years back. Southwark's planning commitee granted permission with neither party realising that the site was actually located in Lambeth. When the error was discovered Nando's had to reapply, this time in the correct borough.*

    • interesting the police said "the car was in demand at the moment" what make/model is that?
    • Just be careful to know exactly what they cover and the limits. i use Many Pets and Medivet, as I think one of the vets is exceptionally good. Some of the NHV are, but I’ve had a couple I’ve not liked at all.  I need consistency and to feel that they actually care more about the animals than the money.
    • I haven't used them myself but I noticed recently that "Snoots" in Forest Hill is going unlimited primary care for £33/month, so basically a subscription. Easy access on the 176 from East Dulwich. I have no idea what it includes so read the contract! It's a chain but only 5 branches so not a mega corporate. 🤷‍♂️ https://www.snootsvet.com/find-us
