Some of you may have realised that there are now a few banner ads in the classifieds sections of the forum (for sale, business, residential etc) promoting companies that sponsor the forum. I've always avoided banners on the forum, fearful that they'll maker the forum feel commercial, but I've realised that it's something I have to do to get something back and I'd also like to take the moderating team out for a decent drink sometime for all their work.

I purposely haven't put the ads in the discussion sections of the forum because the discussion should be the main focus and I don't want to detract from them. However I think that if people are looking for a service or to buy and sell then the small banners won't be too much of an intrusion. Hopefully it'll raise more money which will allow us to spend time on upgrading the software and improve the forum.

If you are interested in advertising please email [email protected] and someone will be in touch. If you have emailed already then please bear with us, we will be in touch shortly.

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
    • GP not willing to refer you on? Say, to King's or similar. Odd
