Not sure that?s strictly true

I know it (desperately) wants to be

I know they have spent years since the GLR days diluting and diluting (BBC LDN indeed!)

But it?s never been a big draw, much less a ?healthy mainstream audience?

And a city like London should have an odd local BBC station reflecting the mix and curiosity of the city and let LBC take care of the commercial side of things

Bracket BBC London in with the 6 Music and Radio 4s and nurture interesting things . As a station I?d be surprised if it cost as much as the glossy Radio 1 ads alone

I'm with SJ. If it's going mainstream then you scrap it and let people listen to Radio 5 or whatever or, given the remit of the BBC, you let some of the more outlying stuff, especially when it's around a unique talent such as DB go on and ignore the commercial/ 'audience' figures bit. I suspect he's tricky to 'manage' tho
