Whats size is the East Dulwich Swimming Pool?

I think the max depth is 1.45, rising to 1.40 at the end 'deep' end. At least that is what the markings indicate.

25x10m. Not sure about depth, but even the deep end isn't very deep.

Are you talking about the main pool or the children's pool? I haven't been yet.

I thought that it wasn't a perfectly logical number as I remember having to swim a strange number of lengths to get to 1/2 km - surely they have not changed the length.

Thanks guys- its 27m long x 10- I called them to check. Bit of a random question I know, but I need it to calculate a distance swim im training for.

No. It USED to be 27m x 10m with one corner where you couldn't walk around the side.

During the complete renovation its been shortened a. so it s regular size so schools can have races etc, and b. so that corner you now can walk around the pool side.

So only 40 lengths for a km!!! nearly there.

I think I've found out the cause of this confusion and others.

They've reopened the Dulwich Leisure Centre and not changed the phone messages.

On the phone messages it states 27m x 3 lane pool - wheras it changes to 25m x 4 lanes.

It states the entrance is on East Dulwich Road - but it now Crystala Palace Road.

It mentions direct buses and indirect buses via Lordship Lane but not those running via Peckham Rye.

Needless to say I've reported this but pretty miffed council officers and fusion haven't the sense to check these lines and the messages.
