Hello

We've recently moved to the area, well Peckham Rye. I've taken my daughter to a few groups including the ones at Dulwich library and the music class at the pottery cafe near goose Green which are great but can anyone recommend any groups that get together. We used to go to a few in some churches where we used to live. They didn't have a particularly strong religious overtone to them, but were friendly places with lots of toys to play with. I'm struggling to find any like that here, anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

Hiya,

I have a 15month old and he would recommend....

Hello

Goose green toddler group is held in the goose green centre, attached to St Johns church, beside the main park not the swing park

We open, as stated at 10-11.30am and it costs 50p per head from birth - adults

We supply juice/water with child freindly biscuits/rice cakes for the young ones and tea/coffee and biscuits for the adults

Please note that in the poorer weather we do fill up quickly and have to shut the doors when we reach our capacity numbers. Best to come before 10 and wait in lobby if you can

Look forward to seeing new faces

    • This week's edition of The Briefing Room I found really useful and impressively informative on the training aspect.  David Aaronovitch has come a long way since his University Challenge day. 😉  It's available to hear online or download as mp3. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m002n7wv In a few days time resident doctors -who used to be known as junior doctors - were meant to be going on strike. This would be the 14th strike by the doctors’ union since March 2023. The ostensible reason was pay but now the dispute may be over without more increases to salary levels. The Government has instead made an offer to do something about the other big issue for early career doctors - working conditions and specialist training places. David Aaronovitch and guests discuss what's going on and ask what the problem is with the way we in Britain train our doctors? Guests: Hugh Pym, BBC Health Editor Sir Andrew Goddard, Consultant Gastroenterologist Professor Martin McKee, Professor of European Public Health, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine Mark Dayan, Policy Analyst, Nuffield Trust. Presenter: David Aaronovitch Producers: Caroline Bayley, Kirsteen Knight, Cordelia Hemming Production Co-ordinator: Maria Ogundele Sound Engineers: Michael Regaard, Gareth Jones Editor: Richard Vadon
