Everyone was so kind when i was panicking about possible hospitalisation with a transverse baby, I guess an update is due!

Baby wa sturned to head down by ECV and despite dour predictions he would flip back, follow up scans have showed him staying head down. We met with the hospital midwives (inc head of the postnatal ward who is confident it has improve dbeyond all recognition, for anyone worried) to agree a plan in case I did end up there.... but all seemed oin track for homebirth.

Until Friday (just short of 39w) when I developed stomach pains, temperature and felt really ill... MW came and baby's heart was racing. Spent a few hours at the MAU and got admitted overnight to the labour ward for IV fluids and monitoring.... dx as some sort of virus.... same home Sat after agreeing to go back Sunday for more monitoring 9all fine!) and a final growth scan today (all fine!) so now we are back, as we were, waiting and hoping for a homebirth and no more complications...

EDD is Sunday.

I think it's the only homebirth ever amongst haematology patients (I had a DVT in pg no 1 and have a blood clotting disorder) but all the drs seems OK about it, or at least, they know better than to argue....!!

    • Went to see the Tony-Winning Stereophonic last night, the play that is apparently not about the recording of Rumours but is set in a recording studio in Sausalito in the late 70's and features a band with three Brits (two men, one woman) and two Americans (one man, one woman). It was good but I wasn't blown away, wasn't helped by the number of people chomping on noisy snacks throughout the performance !
    • We tried norbert's on Friday night. Of course there are cheaper places to eat chicken in SE22 and we overdid it on the sides because we wanted to try out their range of options. But it's very good quality chicken and two people could easily be satisfied sharing half a chicken and chips which would be £24 – £12 each. Here's my review: https://open.substack.com/pub/eatsdulwich/p/restaurant-review-norberts?r=8oe6m&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web&showWelcomeOnShare=false
