Hi All,

With the sex of the new baby well and truly known (thanks Kings), we have begun to clear out all the boys bits that we were keeping just in case.

We have some nice pieces and some useful ones and would like to donate them so that someone else may benefit. Rather than charity shop where they will be sold on; has anyone got any other ideas of a charity that may distribute them to people that need them for free??

ratty

Hello ratty and charlottekb,

I would be very happy to take these clothes for the Refugee Council where I volunteer at a mums, bumps and babies group. There are quite a few families with growing baby boys who are in need. We would give them directly to them and certainly make no money from them. I can come and collect them from you but possibly not until next week as I already have a car load of collections I have done this week. Please pm if you would like more information or to organise this.

Thanks, Sarah

    • I assumed they were somehow connected to or or supporters of Reform..this assumption is based on the fact when confronted by two of their collectors at Marylebone Station early one morning (around 7.30am) in the summer and I refused to donate one of them said "Don't you care about Army Veterans? Are you a Muslim? Don't you care about England?" I told them to F**k Off I may be old I may be small but I won't stand for Racism or Biggotry in any form. The whole term 'Blighty' smacks of Reform and flag waving racists

    • Any cyclist using Nairne Grove should have noticed the dangerous school streets bollard which was missing its metal cover, leaving it extremely dangerous to cyclists due to its ridiculous location on the corner. I'm amazed it hadn't been dealt with before but I reported it to the Council and within a few days it was sorted. As someone who broke a bone in a fall onto tarmac not long ago, I hope no one was injured in the meantime.  In future anyone can easily report dangerous road defects using:  https://www.fillthathole.org.uk/
