  1. I know there are enough cat lovers on this forum to help me out with this! As the title suggests I am moving house and im starting to think about the best way to settle our cats into their new house. They've lived here all of their 9 years and I know moving can be really stressful for them. Basically would like to know how long we keep them in for. What to do to make it comfortable for them etc. Some sites are suggesting having a room ready in the new house just for them etc! Sounds a bit much. Any thoughts and suggestions much appreciated. Thanks, Charlotte
  2. Divali was Tuesday. Not last night and even if it was I would have thought 10.30 would have been a bit of a late inconsiderate time to set fireworks off in a residential area!
  3. Are there any good drama groups out there for kids age 5 plus?? Thanks
  4. And, if nothing works. Name and Shame. Their attitude is despicable!
  5. By me probably ratty - posting as his wife!
  6. Champagne and a massive box of chocs. She was delighted. Said she would be sharing the chocs with the office, but that the bubbly was going home with her...
  7. I could t agree with the original poster more. I've been using this gym before and after the refurb. At first I thought it was just January/February new years resolutions, and thought it would soon calm down. As its not all I can assume is that they have over subscribed hugely out of greed. If I do get on a class it's near impossible to get on the same class the following week, unless you book at 6am online, and even then it's not guaranteed. I mean, I pay for those classes and I can't ever get on them. There is a good atmosphere and there always has been a good collection of friendly regulars that go there. But to be stopping and starting inbetween machines is just frustrating. To be honest Im surprised it's taken this long for this thread to have started. Most people I know in the area use this gym and are annoyed by it. Why should we go to ESPN at their over hiked prices, because fusion has decided to over subscribe what was a very decently ran council gym. Hopefully things will get better soon. I've totally given up on classes which is a real shame. There are 2 studios and only three classes on a Saturday!! Sort it out fusion!
  8. Something quite special going on around Pompey at the moment. In an effort to pack the ground tomorrow, support the lads and get some revenue into the club, people are buying tickets for those that cannot afford to go. I have been offered 4 already from mates back home! Sadly I have the kids tomorrow as it's the wife's birthday and even though I will be in the mother land I will not be able to go. This is what being a footy fan is all about however!
  9. You are of course entitled to that opinion, although how you can make a judgement like that without knowing the full facts is beyond me.
  10. Doubt the FA will let him do both with Euro coming up.
  11. Something on Sky news about Ferguson attacking De Gea in the tunnell......
  12. Fook knows, I can't see it advertised anywhere.
  13. I go, Brixton, Balham, Tooting, Wimbledon Chase to the A3 dual carriageway. Usually takes 40 mins to be to the A3 and another 10 to the M25
  14. Honestly, who cares? It's a new ED business. Cut them some slack ffs.
  15. It's not very clear on the website and I can't find a newsletter anywhere! Does the nursery reopen tomorrow or Wednesday? Thanks, Charlotte
  16. Oh yes, the Olympics - could not give a shit about that!
  17. My boy is 4 now and is so excited about Christmas already. Im wondering if anyone has any Christmas book recommendations for someone his age? Im searching on Amazon and there are loads to choose from but I dont want them to be too young for his age, so any experienced people of boys my age out there, please let me know what your kids love.... Thanks in advance!
  18. On my wanders tonight there were lots Of houses decorated with signs saying trick or treating welcome! I think Saturday would have been fine Craigy. Hope you've had a good Halloween party. You could have invited us ;)
  19. Does anyone know when this is on. I think it's tomorrow but can't remember the time!?
  20. Thanks all so much for your support/ ideas/time! Am at the stage of sleep deprivation when any act of kindness making me a bit weepy! I'm thinking food and a bit of mixed feeding is the way I'm gonna go. My son is a right shouter in the night - the drama of a middle of the night wee - so thinking he might wake her up which would be hell. Think I will have a flick through Gina and the baby whisperer too. Stuff I promised myself I wouldn't do this time around. Hey ho! Thanks again - you lovely peeps you xxx
  21. Just the usual desperate warblings from a mum utterly down and fed up with being woken between 2-3 times a night. My lo is now 6 months old and there isn't really much change sleep wise from when she was new born. I'm completely at my witts end and it's taking all the joy out of it for me. She is ebf, and her brother who was formula fed fro 4 weeks was sleeping through from 13 weeks and is still a very good sleeper!! Obviously all the older generations in our family are saying that she needs to go on the bottle and eat eat eat. I'm feeling ready if not a bit sad to consider stopping breastfeeding. Anything to get a good nights sleep. Although mum friends I know say their lo's still sleep badly fully weaned and on the bottle. It doesn't help that due to lack of space baby is still in the same roo And does seem easily disturbed. Plus every time she wakes I don't let her put up too much of a fight before I feed her. We tried letting her cry it out and it was awful - kept us all awake and woke my boy up!!! I just wanted some advice really. Maybe re naps etc? Anything will be really helpful. I'm turning into an absolute misery in my quest for sleep. Help!!! Thanks, Charlotte x
