????
mmmm...you've gone from praising terrorists yesterday to remembering their victims today - a bit hypocritical in my view. Alan Medic
Not in mine. You appear to see everything as being either black or white Quids. The real question is, is violence ever justified to achieve a goal? Without it there would be no Republic of Ireland now, for example. Depending on the circumstances I would say it probably is. The killing of civilians is another matter. To be sorry for victims of a crime is to be human. To praise someone who ultimately helped bring about 'peace' of a sort is not being hypocritical. How many more lives would have been lost by now if MMcG didn't choose to assist in the peace process? Mick Mac
I extend that to all innocent victims of terrorism As for the personal insults this is not the place and not the intention of this thread - I'll respond on another thread Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/146710-pc-keith-palmer-rip-and-the-other-as-yet-unnamed-victims/#findComment-1117805 Share on other sites

Loz
In the spirit of taking something positive out of this, a thank you to the police and emergency services. Truly awesome people. And a hat tip to that Tory MP. I would like to hope that, in the same situation, I'd react in the same way but who knows until it actually happens. Jules-and-Boo
yes - Top Bloke. Louisa
As above. Our police and paramedics do a great job and a big thankyou to them for working tirelessly to keep us all safe. Also the MP who went above the call of duty to help that brave officer. Louisa. I know, as I had a friend there. Similarly, I thought it was cheap point-scoring for some to point out (on social meeja, natch) that the PM was whisked away as if this showed some sort of cowardice rather than it being a crucial security matter for the head of government to be protected from danger.
