Sue
Starts off as if you're getting a cold (sore throat for a couple of days, slight runny nose) then sudden onset of dizziness/nausea/having to lie down?I'm hoping it's a bug going round and not some other hideous illness....... siousxiesue
Yes totally! Last year the whole office got it, well four people, and this year my dizziness lasted weeks, ended up getting bloods/ears checked out-all ok. It has subsided now, only have the odd one off 'head spin' thank goodness. Sue
Three days sounds better than weeks - though having taken to my bed yesterday I am still bundled up in a duvet on the sofa scarcely able to make a cup of tea (pause for noises of sympathy) :D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14770-anyone-else-had-a-dizzy-bug/#findComment-391517 Share on other sites
Dickensman
There there Sue you'll be up and around before the next snows have melted. Now have a few stiff tots of something and when you're pissed you wont know if you're spinning because of the bug or the booze, it's almost like a cure except for the resultant hangover. The Minkey
My OH had it - I thought it sounded like flu - half the office have had it too and it seems to hit some for about 8/9 days or so. No choice but to get horizontal and do very little. Hope it doesn't hit you too hard, Sue.Luckily, the cold/flu family don't find me an attractive. Jeremy
I have it. I've had a cough/cold for a few days, with a sore throat and chest. Felt very weak and dizzy yesterday. Feeling a bit better today, but still coughing a lot. Sue
I ventured out today, a bit dizzy and weak but not needing to lie down.Wonder if it is a variant of flu and hit me less hard because I had a flu jab?I usually get these things harder and longer than everyone else, much to my embarrassment when I was working ..... Tarot
Buy one of those antibacterial hand gels, put some on your hands before going out shopping. or pub. Also after handling cash,as germs from viruses are transferred this way. This precaution will protect you until you can wash your hands If you have the virus,a supply of herbal teas could help, makes a change from usual drinks.
