OMG! WEEKS?!?!?!NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

I've only just got over sinusitis, why do I always get things at bloody CHRISTMAS?!?!?!?!?!

When the spinning started yesterday I couldn't even make it downstairs because I felt so dizzy and sick I thought I might fall downstairs :-S

There there Sue you'll be up and around before the next snows have melted.

Now have a few stiff tots of something and when you're pissed you wont know if you're spinning because of the bug or the booze, it's almost like a cure except for the resultant hangover.

My OH had it - I thought it sounded like flu - half the office have had it too and it seems to hit some for about 8/9 days or so. No choice but to get horizontal and do very little. Hope it doesn't hit you too hard, Sue.

Luckily, the cold/flu family don't find me an attractive.

I ventured out today, a bit dizzy and weak but not needing to lie down.

Wonder if it is a variant of flu and hit me less hard because I had a flu jab?

I usually get these things harder and longer than everyone else, much to my embarrassment when I was working .....

Buy one of those antibacterial hand gels, put some on your hands before going out shopping. or pub.

Also after handling cash,as germs from viruses are transferred this way.

This precaution will protect you until you can wash your hands

If you have the virus,a supply of herbal teas could help, makes a change from usual drinks.

    • My memory, admittedly not very reliable these days, places the shop on the block on the left hand side just before Burgess Park going towards Camberwell. Have also found a reference to Franklins Antiques being located at 157 Camberwell Road which is on that block. This is a screen shot obtained from Google maps of that address which accords with my memory except the entrance door was on the right hand side, where the grey door is, rather than in the centre.
    • The MFI was probably where Iceland is now. This post makes me feel very old - went to a 30th birthday party in the garden at the back. Oh to be 30 again!
    • Anyone upgraded their TV for Christmas?! I'm looking for a smallish Smart TV I can use with earbuds. Not more than 56cm high and  25cm deep. A 26" one used to fit.  Thanks!
