London's fireworks

I thought last night's firework display in London was amazing..best display I've seen in London to date.

Fireworks used to be fun, when you could buy them as an eight-year old, and they were cheapish. You could even get penny bangers. I'm surprised at the pangs of nostalgia from just looking at the photos on http://www.pyrosociety.org.uk/forum/topic/3073-jumping-jacks/.

Saw ` them all from Dawson Heights. Fabulous. Great atmosphere too.

How many people were at Dawson Heights please PeckhamRose - we really want to go one year - do you have to get there early or is it just pitch up just before midnight?

We are next door to Dawsons Heights and we had plenty of ppl in our car park watching, There were lots at the Heights by the sound of it. Why not just come up next year and see for yourself, it's far better than on the TV as you get all the acoustic shock waves etc. They were much better than last years, a full 10 minutes' worth.
