busymum
Can anyone help? I'm looking for swimming lessons for a 3.5 year old ideally Weds or Thurs afternoon, where adult wouldn't need to go into water. We would like our nanny to take our eldest daughter to the swimming lessons but she will need to look after youngest daughter at the same timePeckham Pulse and East Dulwich are our closest swimming pools but our nanny does have a car. Do swimming lessons tend to have massive waiting lists like most things in this area?Any suggestions much appreciated Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15338-swimming-lessons-for-35-yr-old/ Share on other sites
Moi23
I put my son's name down about october and he's started this term. He does wednesdays and you don't have to get in with them. It's worth putting your name down for it.Just editing to say it's at East Dulwich leisure centre! Pickle
Other options that often don't have a waiting list are the Bridge Leisure Centre (Sydenham) or Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Zo?
Singing the praises of Crystal Palace. My 4yo has swimming with the lovely Sandy at 12.30 on Thursdays - there are only 3 children in her group, changing room & showers have plenty of room, lots of parking etc. Also has the advantage of diving training in the diving pool afterwards - this keeps her entertained for ages (watching, not doing!) craigy
I have the timetable for THe Bridges in Sydenham and they have classes for 3 year old beginners on Wed at 11 and Thur at 5.30, not sure whether they have place. If you are interested give them a ring on 02086597711. I rang last week to book my nearly 4 year old in for lessons on a friday afternoon and they had a few places left and he starts this week. Went to pay today and it is a little hidden but not that difficult to get to in a car... I cannot believe it is so quiet. There are 3 kids at the moment. Fuschia
I rang the Bridge but they seemed a bit disorganised and asked me to call 0208 778 7158 Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15338-swimming-lessons-for-35-yr-old/#findComment-403051 Share on other sites
craigy
I found The Bridge very organised, went in in week and paid for lessons and had first one this afternoon. Was great, easy to get to and huge amount of parking there..
