The Cure is reforming for a "one off" at Wembley next March (Thursday 20th). At the moment the trend is for supposedly "one off" gigs to stretch into 50 date tours, but I think that this might, possibly be a genuine one off. This is a long-awaited appearance by The Cure so demand for tickets will be extremely high. They go on sale on Saturday morning at 9.00am and will sell out very quickly. If there are any really big Cure fans on the ED forum who absolutely must get tickets for this gig at all costs then please feel free to PM me and I will give you some advice to make sure you get them. Sorry but I really can't post ticket buying info directly on the forum because it's a public forum and someone might stumble across it on a google search - and I really don't want that.

you took the words right out of my mouth. And avid Cure fan throughought the 80s I got to see them at Wembley on the KissMeKissMeKissMe tour - and I have never dropped a band so quickly.

My stance has softened a little in subsequent years but I can't face the thought of risking a noght like that again (and I had to sleep on the floor of Paddington station overnight afterwards but that's another story)

Sorry for the negativity giggirl!

No worries - none taken. Personally I'm not a fan of The Cure at all - I don't even own a CD! I know that lots of Cure fans tend to be hardcore though and I didn't want to see a thread start next week along the lines of "why didn't anyone tell us the Cure was reforming ..... tickets all sold out..... blah blah blah ..... I'm so sad I won't get to see them .... blah blah....". So I was just flagging it up.

    • Yes, I did mention the train, which I now get from East Dulwich to Guys instead of the 40. Depends where in East Dulwich you are starting from which route is easiest! I think it is probably lack of staff rather than lack of hospitals which is the problem?
    • What can be done? How about reporting it to the police?
    • I can also strongly recommend Lukasz after he completed some floorboard repairs and some complex repairs to skirting damaged through dog chews. He is responsive, punctual, reasonably priced, detail-oriented and his work is to a very high standard.
    • Really? Yes you are probably right as I know from personal experience with Guys… as I claiming travel costs back, that no one told me I could claim! Left hand does not know what right hand is doing regarding admin..  If they charged people for wasting overstretched staff in A& E as in not urgent just might deter people from wasting precious time…. But then you need interpreters, to explain if language is a barrier and admin staff to administer..  Correct me if I am wrong but is there not a train from Denmark Hill or East Dulwich which goes to London Bridge? Would be faster than 2 buses I would have thought.    Oh, forgot about Tessa Jowell but thought you needed GP referral in which case, that would be the place to go rather than a bigger hospital. Know there is one in Beckenham and you can call and they will give you an idea as to wait time…..same I hope at TJ…assuming they answer phone.. If one really things about it…too many  people in London for example and to few hospitals…
