Have done, at least as much as I could stomach. It all seems very petty. I don't know the guy myself so I can't make a judgement about him. Do you know him personally or is it just his television persona you don't like?

He's pretty rude, I have encountered him as did my sister when she worked in Sainsbury's....thinks he is the bees knees....does anyone know the number in the yellow pages for someone who can reduce his ego?

Personally, I have no feelings either way - it's just a cheap gag on here that keeps me amused. I think his acting is ok from the bits I've seen. Lighten up Declan (whoa - Irish name - is it a nom de plume for a certain JN?)

PGC, I only asked why he was reviled and you have answered my question- 'it's just a cheap gag'. I think a suitable Irish expression to describe this thread is 'feck the begrudgers'.
