I didn't do it with mine, but a few of my friends did baby massage with little babies and enjoyed it. Can then also do at home. Also there is a baby sensory thing at Brockly and Forest Hill which I have just started going to with my six-month old, but advertised as suitable from birth. It's pretty good, with singing and different activities every week. Not particularly cheap, though, ?70 for a 10-week block, you can do a no-obligation trial for ?7. http://www.babysensory.com/en/ClassDetails.aspx?id=33

I walked around with pram a lot as moved house 2 weeks before birth - so was a good way to get to know new area!

Tippee Toes do a baby music class on a Thursday at 10am (45 minutes) with a stay and play session.

At 3 months, your baby can be stimulated through music, singing and percussion instruments. We use lots of colourful props to keep their attention.

The venue is: All Fired Up Ceramics Cafe, 34 East Dulwich Road.

It is a drop in class so no need to pre-book - ?3.00 per session.

Thanks

Big Scream at the Clapham/Brixton cinemas (similar just started at Peckham)? Bumps and Babes in E and N Dulwich? Aren't there also quite a few yoga type things you can take little ones along to? Prambusters/power pramming in the parks? I remember reading about a salsa class where you go with baby in a sling but cannot remember where/what/how!!

As others have said though - and I know it's probably a bit unhelpful - make the most of the cafe/chat days....they end oh so soon!!

Hi Jenny,

We'd love to meet you and your baby in my toddler baby music class. It's aimed at babies 6 months old and up but younger babies are most welcome and we do have younger babies attend!

Thanks,

Bea

    • No photograph taken and no video evidence of anyone approaching or ringing my doorbell all morning. I have made a complaint to EVRI, but just in case anyone has taken in or found some James Wellbeloved Senior dry catfood on their doorstep ... I am at the South Circular/Horniman end of Underhill.
    • I may have missed it, but I don't think anyone has made that argument have they?  I don't know, but suspect they've figured the costs of cancelling at this late stage are greater than the costs of losing another legal challenge. I agree that if so, it's putting commercial considerations over legal process.
    • Honestly don't know what Lambeth are thinking - they should consider their reputation, loss of public trust, legal challenges and findings of maladministration. Perhaps they have and don't care. It stinks of commercial bias and contempt for the legal process and public.
    • If the argument was 'all councils are bad' that would be clearly true, but as much of the debate has been about 'once a council is elected, what it does is right and mandated' I think there is greater merit in using this as a debating point.
