Hi everyone, I live on Dunstans Road and every weekend (throughout Saturday & Sunday) our neighbours have been doing construction work.

It?s been pretty noisy and disturbing, and today I went over to ask them to stop as it?s a Sunday!

They don?t seem interested in keeping it to more considerate hours - does anyone have any advice? Or is there anyone from Dunstans Road who this has disturbed too?

I miss the days of having a a Sunday not interrupted by drilling or sawing.

If they are using builders who do not live there then it is classified as a construction site. Southwark has rules

8 until 6 Monday to Friday

8 until 1pm on Saturdays

No work on Sundays.

If they are doing it themselves, it is DIY and they should be considerate

Also they are obliged to contain dust

We have the same problem pretty much every summer with construction noise from one neighbour or another every weekend. A couple of weekends ago somebody even had a wedding reception with 30 guests and loud music in their garden on Saturday night. People are very inconsiderate of others. A couple of times we tried to get the council to help with the noise but found them rather ineffective.

    • Yep dangerous and worrying and plenty on here seem to either not grasp that or are perfectly ok with it - which is more worrying you think cancerian or any other reform voter will be any happier if reform win? Sure, just like Brexit they will laugh at the lib-tears but as reality hits, nothing but more anger and complaints   And as we see with Brexit and Trump, finding out too late doesn't solve anything
