steveo
I'm hearing it more and more on TV Now, I do occasionally use this word myself in extremis but,a) I don't like hearing it on TV, probably because I'm old and a reactionary, andb) if it becomes commonplace on TV and around the dinner table like f***, what other word should I use? Can somebody invent one for me? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/15621-c-on-tv/ Share on other sites

When the f word be required, I likes to use 'fragonard'.For the c word, 'clarkson' should do it, old Jeremy being keen on abuse an' all. Chick
TV has always been pooh. I saw the listings from 1973 when there were only three channels and the best programme all week was the Sweeney. HonaloochieB
Personally I think it's OK used in moderation after the watershed by a female in the non-anatomical sense. jumpinjackflash
First time I heard that word was on TV whilst watching Silence of the Lambs. Jodie Foster was walking past the cells of all the nutters and one of them said that he could, erm, smell hers. Anyway, I was only about 12 and had to ask me Ma what it meant.
