There's a dad or two at ruby rhymes up at herne hill baptist church on Monday morning. Tuesday can be a bit empty - maybe sign them up for a swimming class or sthg - crystal palace has lessons on most days unlike the fusion centres which are really limited.
Great thanks, I think anything where there is even a small presence of dads would appeal. Not sure he's up for something like bumps or babes, although i loved it! I'll take a look at ruby rhymes. Swimming is sorted but any other suggestions very much appreciated. Thanks!

For Mondays - I would second Tippee toes or Ackroyd Childrens Centre in SE23! Both have a number of dads. Ackroyd also run a baby gym on the first Monday of each month. Ackroyd from 10 to about 2 and ?2.75

Tuesdays - would really recommend St Saviours Group on Brockley Rise. Really friendly group and several regular dads to chat to.

10 to 11.45. ?1.

Good luck

There's an active and friendly dad's group in Lewisham and Greenwich which has activities on most days for dads and male carers - worth getting in touch with them. My partner and son love the Tuesday morning dads' playgroup in Brockley. http://www.selondondads.org.uk/

Hi Charlotte,

Your husband and daughter would be most welcome in my drop in baby toddler music class! We do have some Dads attend although many more mums and nannies although it'd be great to even out the ratio! There's a drop in session Tuesday afternoons at 3:30!

All the best,

Bea

drop in (no need to book beforehand)

Try the soft play at Crystal Palace Sports Centre. It's a mini soft play perfect for crawling babies and young toddlers - all on one floor, balls, games, activites etc. Not like a Gambardo's or Rascal's which are brilliant for older kids. I think it is ?4.70. Closes at 12 pm I think.

    • Anyone upgraded their TV for Christmas?! I'm looking for a smallish Smart TV I can use with earbuds. Not more than 56cm high and  25cm deep. A 26" one used to fit.  Thanks!
    • It wasn't an antique and bric-a-bac shop but an antique market with a number of different traders, the cafe supported all the dealers in bringing in custom, and was good enough to generate trade for them. It was Rodney Franklin's and his partners enterprise, he previously had an antique shop in Queenstown Road in Battersea. His late wife ran the cafe (she was a very fine actress, it was a 'resting' job).  It was on the corner of a junction on the left as you head towards Camberwell. And almost opposite, if memory serves at all, an MFI style furniture outlet.
    • i used to go there in the late 80's and '90s (?) the food was served cafeteria style and there was limited choice, but what there was alays tasted amazing!  The garden was an absolute paradise, you could sit in it to lunch in the summer!  i've tried to locate its site but Walworth Road has changed so much since then - does anyone remember the house number?
    • This is very true. For some people, not even just the elderly, their pet/s may be their most important companion.
