Ram raid at Balfe's Bikes 4.7.17 6:12am

Recommended Posts

Hi folks at 6:12 this morning 4th July we were ram raided by four lads on two mopeds.

They stole four Brompton bikes from us.

If anyone was around the East Dulwich road area and saw anything we'd really appreciate any info you might have.

They headed off towards Goose Green from our shop.

Thanks all, Rich

Hi Rich,

Two bikes were also stolen from Actress a cpl of weeks ago by individuals wearing motor cycle helmets.. possibly unrelated.. however, a bit of a coincidence - these individuals extremely brazen as bikes were locked & they just used bolt cutters to cut the lock in full view of the punters.. PM me as we have some CCTV footage.

They just jumped on the bikes & fled in Goose Green direction - over in seconds!

trust the Police are interested?

Absolutely disgusting. This type of crime will never stop until the government review their stance on policing, i.e. At the moment the police are not allowed to chase any cycle rider not wearing a helmet.

Did you get any pics? There are some pics loaded on the initial thread by Balfes.. would be good info for the Police if you recognise the helmets or bikes maybe?

According to a post above, the thieves at The Actress were wearing helmets.

Police just weren't around then - and looked like they were with helmets.

Reports of other issues around ED/Peckham (my block).

We were lucky previously and someone changed their days for us so we could have a spot.    and have been on a waitlist for more than a year somewhere else but without chasing wouldn’t have received a spot.
    • Also adding a recommendation here for Andy (who I found here on this forum). He and another colleague decorated and replaced the floor in our living room (laminate replaced with LVT). He was really helpful in giving us suggestions beforehand, like what to prepare to make their job as efficient as possible, ideas of different styles for trims and features to help us make final decisions, and recommended places to source some of the materials we needed. Really happy we got them in - they were efficient and polite and we felt comfortable having them having them in our home. They finished in good time and we're so happy in the newly updated space! Thanks Andy.
