Received the letter this morning about a planning application for a redevelopment of Dulwich Hamlets football club car park (where the car wash is) to become a 5 storey apartment block containing 60 flats. Consultation period starts today and ends on 13th of March.

Good thing? Bad thing? what do EDF think!

Sad to see more development on what was and suspect technically still is Metropolitan Open Land.

Equally, as its next to Dulwiohc Hamlets I'd welcome some more passive security there - but very clunky way to achieve that.

James,

That in itself seems like the best reason to reject this. Do you know what the rules are for building on Metropolitan Open Land?

    • No, you didn’t write the article. But unless you’re a Telegraph subscriber, you haven’t read the article either. Have you read it? The psychopath Telegraph lives behind a (rubber) paywall but using this kind of sensationalist, accusatory headline gets it traction on social media. The headline becomes more important than the article; many will see it and some will take as a statement of fact. And it will be shown on endless “let’s take a look at the papers” segments on TV and radio for 12 hours or more in every news day. And so, a tiny number of reactionary, right wing hacks has a vastly disproportionate influence on the popular conversation despite the papers they work for being bought by almost nobody these days.
    • Trelco are wonderful. James has been super reliable and they are a gem to have around us locally. Trust them completely, will give honest advice and have very fair pricing for all small work around the house or bigger plumbing projects. I've used them multiple times and they will always find the time to help, even when they are busy they will pop round to make sure we aren't stranded which is a nice touch.
    • "attack on the tax", I posted a link, how was that an attack? I didn't write the article, so how was that an attack on the proposed tax?  Are you now saying what can and cannot be posted, when did you become Admin(NOT).
