The baby clinic that was on every Wednesday at my medical centre (DMC Chadwick Road) has been suspended since January as they are doing building work.

This means I haven't been able to see a HV and get baby weighed since then. Is it possible to turn up at another baby clinic and be seed even if you are not registered with the practice? I would really appreciate it if one of you can ask and let me know...

Have you tried calling HV's (their number should be in the front of your red book) and checking with them - can't believe they've left you provision-less.

Wouldn't recommend trying Forest Hill Grp Practice - often 2hr wait for just a weight, I ended up writing a complaint to Southwark PCT PALS from the waiting room one morning!!

chadwick rd is my normal hv too...apparently theyre running one at the Albrighton Centre instead, i think on wednesday afternoons, though im not sure about the day...i'm sure they'll know if you phone chadwick road?

Albrighton is too far for me in the afternoons, so i just made an appt with the nurse at chadwick road to get my little one weighed, though im not sure if she'd be able to help with other advice...

    • If people were diligent about not leaving food items out where it is accessible, then we wouldn't have as big a fox problem. Foxes raid trash bins for food and leave rubbish strewn on the pavement.  Other European cities have strict rules on disposal of edibles and they dont have a fox problem
    • You keep insisting that you're "just stating facts", but so far, most of what you've shared isn't fact - it's just your personal opinion, framed with hostility.  Foxes aren't classified as "vermin" in the UK. They're wild animals protected under the Animal Welfare Act & the Wildlife & Countryside Act . & Yes, they do play a vital role in controlling rodent population. The more you double down on insults & misinformation, the more you discredit your own argument. It's possible to be fed up & still informed. Take the information provided to you & do something about it. BTW culling doesn't even work.
    • It’s hardly likely you know that for a fact Sue
    • I know an instance where the foxes quickly learned how to avoid such devices.
