Scutari, Mundania area - schools

Hello, not clued up about the primary school allocation but if we lived on the aforementioned roads, what would our allocated nearest primary school be?

If anyone lives on these roads or ones adjacent and has recently gone through the system I'd be gratefully to hear where your kids go to primary school.

Lots if children from the mentioned roads and surrounding roads seem to either go to Fairlawn Primary or Goodrich.

Goodrich, Fairlawn (Lewisham School but close), Ivydale (Nunhead), St Francesca Cabrini (Catholic)

Thanks for that information Renata - I was also worried about being in the schools black hole (mundania). Surprised about goodrich though since people on ryedale didn't get places there last year? I'd be happy with any of those four.

I think you could be in a bit of a black hole. I know if you phone Fairlawn and tell them the name of your road, they'll be able to tell you if children from there always/never/sometimes get in. Sure other schools can do similar?

We used to be on Ryedale (FHR end) and got offered Goodrich 2 months after the initial allocation, I also know that some of the Reception classes at Goodrich still have 2-3 spaces in them so all is never as it seems :)

Fairlawn's catchment last year pre-bulge was 377m. went to 783m with bulge.

Mundania is 700m from Fairlawn according to the Lewisham website, so it really depends on what happens with regards to bulge classes I guess and in the shakedown.

Spoke to the Head at Fairlawn today. They are not going to have any more bulge years, she said they don't have the space for it to work.

It's also worth noting that as a result of the bulge class this year, it's likely that there will be more siblings for the Sept 2011 and 2012 intakes, making the catchment for Fairlawn even smaller than 377m!

nightmare - we are looking for a house in Fairlawn catchment. It's minuscule!
