Brighton - recommendations for pubs, bars, cafes hotels

I'm planning a weekend trip to London by the Sea. want some solid recommendations of the best places to go from trusty Forumites

Found a good little pub called the Heart and Hand last time I was down there last year, at the top of the north Lanes if memory serves me well. It had a fantastic jukebox choker with all sorts of weird and wonderful 45's

Soho by the sea is a more accurate description. Just have a good wander. You'll find plenty of good bars there. It's been a while since I've been down to Brighton. I have a couple of friends who live there so it's about time I paid it a visit again myself. Maybe when it warms up a bit.

I can recommend a leisurely stroll along the seafront to Hove for Sunday lunch in the Ginger Pig on Hove St.

A bit further along,visit the nuddy beach. take a towel or two,some savlon for your nether regions in case you cut yourself on the stones;-)

How odd, I was going to start this very thread today, as we're going on a stag in a few weeks. Not interested in clubbing or lap dancing, just places with booze and perhaps some music.

This is my favourite restaurant in Brighton - I am not a veggie - but the food is delicious!

There's a record fair taking place at the conference centre this Sunday, which is a must for vinyl junkies and those after cheap or hard to find items. Also lots of CDs and DVDs to be had and memorabilia.

Can't remember the name of the pub, but this sounds like one we found last time we were in Brighton, jukebox was great and (if memory serves me too) it was free on the night we were there :)

Sadly I can't remember what night that was :))

ETA: Ladygooner, agree Terre a Terre is a brilliant restaurant, and I'm not a veggie either.
