And it should be so easy: bisect, bisection, dissect, dissection. Unless you dissent.

But then, remember when cervical and umbilical retained their short vowels and couldn't conceivably be rhymed with maniacal?

"Dissection", unlike "Bisection", doubles the "s", so should be pronounced in a similar way to "dissent", "dissonance" etc etc..
