There is a section on the forum for contacting the admin in here:

http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/list.php?12

Why did you post in 'General ED issues / gossip' ? In what way does this impact everyone, and therefore warrant this section?

  • Administrator

I am responsible.

You asked in one message i.e. once, if it's ok to rehome pets on the forum. Can you explain how this is "asking everywhere"? (Ok you did ask in the ED issues section so this was moved the About the Forum section)

Then you posted a message offering something in the East Dulwich issues section. Can you explain why rehoming your kittens is an East Dulwich issue?

Obviously your message was moved to the Offered section and you have posted a message in the East Dulwich issues section claiming "all your posts have been deleted?!" . Can you explain what "all your posts" were and why you are using the wrong sections of the forum? You have used the other section before so you know they exist.

Wow. Just going to say thanks and leave it there. Thank you for being so friendly and helpful, mr. admin.

PS. PERHAPS NOTIFY PEOPLE WHEN YOU MOVE THEIR POSTS AND NOT QUESTION THEM WHEN THEY'RE ANNOYED ABOUT IT. Again, THANKS.

What with 600+ posts a day I ain't got time to notify every person who posts a message in the wrong section and I move it and then they expects me to tell them about it. You gets what you pay for.

By the way, I'm not a great fan of capitals.

Or you can check yourself.

You might have noticed that on each post, the name of the poster (including your own) is a link. That takes you to a small page for your username, where there is another link - in your case, "View all posts by Ronnijade". There you can see all your posts in reverse chronological order and which section they are in.

It's much faster than writing snottygrams to admin.

Mind you, I would have thought this thread itself should have been lounged by now. :))

Well I don't care because your mother's a hamster and your father smells of elderberries.

Whilst this is a correct quote from The Holy Grail it is worth noting that the insulting Frenchman's English idiom is in error, it is elderflowers that are scented - elderberry wine does have a scent, but only after fermentation. - I'll get my coat...

Edited to add - but of course 'elderberries' is a funnier word

Despite efforts to keep this light hearted Ronnijade has actually threatened me on a PM, aka sent a malicious communication.

Ronnijade, just to be clear, the mother bit is a reference to a comedy sketch by Monty Python https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cAy4zULKFDUy I do not mean that about your mother, I don't know her but I'm sure she's lovely. And you don't know mine but she is lovely and not what you stated she is.

If he/she took that to court it would possibly be the funniest court case ever.

    • They've left all kinds of things in my garden including gardening gloves and shoes, not to mention scavenged food and packaging. Once they left an unopened vacuum pack of smoked trout, the next day some pita bread. All a bit biblical.
    • From memory foxes only became a regular sight in the 90s, the attached article says they first appeared in the 30s becoming far more common in the 80s.  Apparently, whilst we think that urban foxes live longer than rural due to their 'easy' life few will make it over the age of two.  In towns they are far more crowded than their natural habitat where they are more territorial. I've never seen foxes and cats fighting but once saw two cats squaring up to each other and a watching fox went up and butted its head against one of the cats.  There's a video on youtube of a cat and fox facing off when the cat is eating outside, but it wont let me embed on this post.  Get too close and I'll scratch you. https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2022/oct/15/urban-foxes-are-they-fantastic-or-a-growing-menace My main issue is leaving things out like gardening gloves and they go or are shredded.  One stole a bag of bird food in front of me, took it next door, shredded the bag and then left it.
    • I was trying to remember when Franklins moved to Lordship Lane from Walworth Road where it was combined with an antique/bric a brac shop. Mid 1990s, first wave ED gentrification?
    • Hello, I lost a babies blanket between Tessa Jowell and the Picture House on Lordship Lane 😞It is teal colour with the name Cillian embroidered on it.  If anyone sees/finds it please let me know.  Thank you!
