Has anyone any experience of creating a Facebook Group?

Has anyone and experience of creating a Facebook Group that is private and doesn't look like a pile of dross?

All help I find on the web is out of date after Facebook upgrades which apparently "enhance" their functionality.

A good example is this ere number http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=2885240382

All I want is a Wall and Info tab yet this seems impossible.

In an ideal world I would simply create a Page but I need this to be covert like.

Hi Benjaminty,

If you go to your home page, look down the left hand side under news feed, messages, events, friends you should see a section under that of groups that may be people have added you to or you have joined. But in that section at the very bottom it gives you the option of creating a group.

You can create a secret group this way, it will give you the wall and info, and also an added chat function where everyone in the group can talk to one another if they decide to switch notifications on.
