Yes, had it done on the the Monday morning, had to go to bed Monday afternoon with eyes shut (although had got Tube home on my own, wasn't too awful) then could see perfectly and was back to on normal Tuesday morning. In my experience you'd need help for one day. Wish I had had it done years ago, its amazing!
My husband had it done in 2008. He's thrilled with the results. Same recovery as above and he was very unlucky and they caught a nerve (OUCH!!) but despite that, and some serious pain for about an hour, he was fine after 11pm - he had the procedure at 5pm I think. He had his done on the Finchley Road and I chaperoned him home on the tube etc - they insisted you had someone with you (Optimax). I vividly remember negotiating the wheelie bins and lampposts of Melbourne Grove. An insight into being blind for sure...
hi my hubby had it done recently. recovered in one day. think he said prices from ?395 we had to pay a lot more as my husband wasnt straight forward but are paying it off monthly interest free. he went with optical express. we keep getting vouchers to reccommend people to go for a consultation and you get ?150 off the price. send me a pm zeban if you want a consultation and i can give you some vouchers.
thanks for the replies. My friend has some vouchers for optimax (finchiley road) she said the results are fantastic. Im really frightened about it all but im so fed up with contact lenses and the thought of not scrambling around looking for my glasses when the baby wakesup seriously appeals!

    • Another recommendation for Oddbods. As proof of our satisfaction we've asked them to return for some more jobs, which is sign we were happy with their work
    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….
    • Just not keen to have all these  things  in my body… having said  that, thinking about Covid again as need to come to London to two hospitals for poss overnight stays.
    • And another one, number 6, has just gone passed as well!  I presume that the LTNs are blocking them from a more useful route. Or the surrounding road works.
