Mr Onion and Miss Cat nabbed a bar side stool at the CPT and I squeezed in with them. The staff were working like furies but were still somewhat overwhelmed (more staff would have helped) and as has been noted the popular booze ran out.

Had nobody told them that it would be busy?

The owner made Candice and Marie (the 2 managers of the CPT) work at The George which is where I was. As ever, she doesn't give the CPT a second thought, and wonders why it doesn't make her a load of money!

Glad you had a goodun though, don't think they were expecting it to be that busy, as all the other games had been reletively low key for some reason. I was in there earlier for the footy, and it was quiet then too. You can never tell with the CPT really.

    • Unfortunately not a great job. Work done in a rush and delivered late, issues not addressed and poor communication throughout.
    • Children below 10 are under the age of criminal responsibility and I believe that although it's not strictly legal, police rarely make a fuss about them cycling on the pavement - it's a good way for them to practice regularly. I feel terrified seeing little children wobbling along on the road and would always have rather risked getting into trouble than endangering my child . I once saw a really little child cycling on Lordship Lane with her father and felt so worried I said something - and he told me it was because of people were complaining. In this case it was a tiny child and you weren't injured and nothing was damaged so it seems a bit of an over-reaction. It doesn't seem to me that what the father said to you was particularly rude although if he wasn't supervising I agree that wasn't responsible.
