Was up Peckham Rye this afternoon, 3 ish with the kids. Lots of police and a police helicopter searching the place. I asked one of the policeman what was going on and she said a 5 year old boy from Barry Road had gone missing from his house. Apparently his mother had left him home alone and he had managed to get out and wander off.

Does anyone know if he was found? I'm guessing he was as it would probably be big on the news by now but need to know really. Is calling the police to find out an option?

Thanks

Steph

The most likely alternative to having been left alone and got out would be that he got out of an open door or window or gate, or opened one and got out, whilst there was somebody else in the house, not that he "escaped" (which would imply he was being held against his will)?

FFS, I make a reasonable comment based on previous posts on the thread and you start having a go.

What's your problem? Are you trying to drag up a previous thread, because I'm not.

ETA: It's pointless speculating about what happened, however the OP said she was told that the child was left alone. That doesn't mean he was, as somebody else has pointed out.

Do you have something constructive to add, DJKQ?

    • Agreed, he should not be held accountable over the mess up over release of prisoners. On the other hand he did himself no favours with his gaffes on the BBC Master Mind programme where he passed on five questions. Where he did answer, here are some of his responses.... When asked who succeeded Henry VIII, Lammy incorrectly answered “Henry VII,” When asked which French scientist won Nobel prizes for both physics and chemistry?” Lammy responded with “Antoinette” When asked which fortress was built to defend Paris and later used as a prison, he answered “Versailles". When asked which variety of blue English cheese is often taken with port, he answered "Leicester" If nothing else he was entertaining.
    • Why do you think he should be toast? All these problems with the prison service apparently go way back, long before Labour took over.
