OK let's see what we make of this - Guardian Joy of Six Hipsters' Favourite Football Clubs.

Guess who's in at number six? I think Barry's last sentence is apposite - it's just about enjoying the football..

"Small wonder, then, that many of the monotonously predictable and sneery comments that appeared below a recent Observer feature on the club (yes, of course there?s been a Observer feature on the club) dismissed all concerned as a shower of bandwagon-jumping ?hipster wankers?. It seems such is the price one must pay these days for the very heinous crime of enjoying yourself and having a good time at the football."

Re Saturday Please be aware there will be NO ALCOHOL allowed outside the bar, ie pitchside and in main stands, Please DO NOT bring your own in as it may lead to confiscation and/or ejection. We are under FA rules due to it being a cup game. Do yourselves and us a favour by abiding by this. Thank you

Hi all,

The Trust will be putting on a Christmas Party at the club house on the 10th December. Live music will be provided by And Other Nihilists and a DJ set from Mike Urban.

All money raised will go towards our new shop, the mega-container.

I attended a DH PO @ NL a few years ago where DH lost against BR on a bitterly cold/wet day. Despite the miserable score and weather, I found the atmosphere warm and friendly. I would say it is a suitable ground to which to take the kids.

    • Well thanks for enriching the conversation.  Would you chuck Fah - rage in too for his tax avoidance on his property?   I expect it was lead story on Jeremy Vine too.  Doesn't make it a story, just a bit more of BBC tabloid style sensationalism.  There are numerous real news stories in the UK and across the world.  And now, apt for Halloween, you have summoned up the ghost of Louisa. So for the third time, will you now eat humble pie?
    • It's firework season now up until early Jan 2026. Starting with celebrating the failure of terrorist Guy Fawkes on November 5th! BOOM!
    • Get used to it! 'major incidents' are a regular occurrence these days! some ignored by mainstream media.
