Do yourself a favour

There are lots of great people on this forum providing good service. But before you contact someone, try searching their mobile number under all dates.

I've recently seen complaints about a carpenter who has prior bad form, and seen the resurgence of a market buyer/landscaper who previously was threatened with legal action because of his conduct (under new usernames of course).

Some people do this already, but just a reminder for newcomers!

How interesting! The previous threads relating to the market buyer/landscaper have all disappeared since I posted the above!

In any case, if you're planning on using Guy Coleman for your landscaping needs, please PM me and I'll put you in touch with a couple of former clients of his that can give you their views.

    • Massive thank you to Stephen. Painted our whole house - and got lots of other bits sorted, too. Nothing was too much trouble, everything looks great and all came in on quote. Fantastic. Liverpool fan, but don’t hold that against him. Will 100% use again.
    • We worked with Eliot recently to get two sets of shelves built. He was excellent! Really high quality craftsmanship, communicative and lovely - I’d recommend Langley Carpentry in a heartbeat.
    • How about trying the upstairs of some local pubs like EDT? They prob won't stay open until wee small hours but worth a try... or night at Rivoli Ballroom Catford (too old?!) or somewhere up in town for drinks rather than hiring somewhere.
    • Sadly crime does seem to be going up in terms of opportunists and street crime / bike thefts etc. Lack of CCTV in this area means it's more of a target than some neighbouring areas according to police (when they sent victim support round after our car had its catalytic converter stolen twice in 6 months by organised gang complete with balaclavas, iron bars and a chainsaw.. driving a 4x4). Crime still relatively low by some parts of London standards but a worrying trend if burglars are trying their luck when people are actually home. Wonder what local police/ MP thoughts are in terms of whether they could organise more community policing patrols. I read a woman was punched in the face on/near Lordship Lane in an unprovoked attack a week or two ago. Terrifying.
