Do you have red Sauvignon Cabernet ?

So nice to have other cultures living in our area.

Yes, East Dulwich is the Sante Fe of London.

Cyclists interfere with traffic a lot in East Dulwich, always getting in the way, pesky and unnecessary.

3 years eh ? Well I'VE live here for 8 years, before 'it all changed', you know.

People around here are right up their own @rses about east Dulwich aren't they ?

"I dont like the rye lane because its too African - doesnt everyone think this?"

" I took the Guardian for years, but it was only when I came to terms with how I really view things, was I able to buy the Mail and be comfortable with it"

" ?5 for a plate of 6 fuckin Olives ? did you see me coming or what? "

" I dont care if you like Coldplay and Goldfrapp - they should be humanely killed and their bodies left for the foxes to eat. take that shit off right fucking now"

" A week in a Yurt in Somerset - this is a joke right ?"

" Yes, I will buy a copy of your Socialist worker - though I may not agree with your politics, I am always willing to consider new viewpoints and engage in lively discussion"

"It was great when they came across as cheap labour and house prices were rising by the hour but now theyve built my extension I wish Cameron would send them all back"

" What do you mean" Dont touch the bread"?, if you expect me to pay 2.50 for a bastard baguette, then get used to it."

" Mmmmm, I never tire of pannetone at Xmas"

" How do you look at yourself each morning, knowing you sell useless trinkets to rich victims with niothing better to dio with their lives."

" You know what, I get this awful feeling that the traders on the North Cross Road are openly laughing as us when we buy their goods"

We chose the Audi because it shows people that we have money, while being less ostentatious than a BMW.

Peroni tastes just like any other generic euro-lager, I resent paying ?4+ for a pint of it.

I miss The Foresters - ?3.50 for nuggets & chips, and a pint. And you could have a game of pool.

When the police station finally closes what we REALLY need is a Poundland.

I don't believe in breastfeeding.

When my daughter grows up I hope she becomes a hairdresser.

You're insane if you think I'm going to pay that much for a small bag of fudge that's been melting in the sun on North Cross Road all day. And exactly how is that related to Somerset?

"What are you mad? Go out as a family down Lordship Lane on a Saturday with the baby in the pram and the other two on their scooters, to all the little shops and then go for a coffee. Why the %+$@ doesn't one of us just stay at home with the kids while the other does that, it's more enjoyable for us, the kids and everyone else in Dulwich."

"A light and bitter, a pint of mild and half a shandy for the wife please."

"Tea, strong, four sugars please."

"Yeah he's going to go in the building game when he leaves school"

"A copy of The Sun and 20 Regal please"

"Fancy going down to see the Wall on Saturday?"

" you know what, I may just pop home rather than breast feed the baby in the charity shop changing cubicle - its only 2 minutes walk and I'm sure the baby will be more settled at home anyway"

" now all we need is a badly run, slightly creepy stationers and the lane is complete"

"I refuse to pay less than ?20 for tea and a slice of cake"

"Yes, the gunshop is indeed sorely missed."

" imagine our relief when the School confirmed he was not Gifted or Talented - now he can get on and enjoy his childhood & not play some role as a proxy for our own vapid, insecure, materialistic and selfish ambitions"

"Homeopathy - what utter toss"

"You are indeed correct - It was selfish and stupid of me to park on the Zig Zag lines at 08.50 AM. In future I shall either walk the children to school or drop them off a little further away , where I will not put other children at risk."

    • Labour have changed a number of things overnight.   1. VAT on school fees - this has resulted in 25,000 moving until state education. 2. Increasing NICs adding billions to the cost of going to work. 3. Introducing the Employment Rights Bill causing employers to stop hiring. This and item 2 have added 100,000 people to the unemployment scrapheap. These are also causing businesses to relocate further harming the economy. 4. Scrapping all the small boats deterrents meaning 60,000 illegal migrants have arrived in small boats since they were elected. 5. Dishing out huge public sector payroses with no conditions so we have a massively increased payroll and doctors etc arestill going out on strike. 6.changed IHT and non domicile tax rules causing 16,500 millionaires to leave the UK and stop paying any tax here at all forever. 7. Alongside 6, leaving the budget up until an historically late period after the last budget has caused a house price crash, killing the market and decimating government stamp duty receipts. 8. Their profligate borrowing (£100bn extra in just one year) to fund all their lavish promises means the government can now only borrow at the highest ever yields on records. They are more beholden to the bond markets than Liz Truss was. 9. The rate of inflation has doubled under this government. It was a healthy 2% when they came in. For most of the last year, as a result of all of the above it is now nearly 4%.   These are all decisions the Labour government took that have immediate cause and effect.  Its no good harking back to 15 years ago. The current administration was gifted the fastest growing economy in the G7 and within 15 months they have destroyed it.    And things are only going to get worse this winter.
    • I use Autocar Repair in West Dulwich.. been using them for over 20 years. Excellent service…
    • A lot to agree with here - don’t get me started on Irish people complaining about immigration! - but that final paragraph is once again a cop out  there’s a lot of extreme right wing money stirring up the division that people are feeling - but there is zero excuse for handing power to these people. We live in a democracy and if we have enough people willing to give it up then judging those people foolish enough to do so is not only something that will happen, it is something that the rest of us should be morally compelled to do  if someone wouldn’t “normally” vote for a racist party yet somehow will do so because they hear someone like me saying that would be bad, then you better believe I’m judging them
