Saw the 2nd display and they mentioned a bird being battered and bruised in the first display, very sweetly they were hugely apologetic that they'd had to end the first display so abruptly and that those unable to stay till 4pm had missed out.

I remember the crows bullying one of their birds last year but they picked a fight with the wrong bird and were outwitted, guess it was their year to win :0(

Anyone who flies a falcon will be well aware that the local birds will take action if they feel threatened. To them it would be like me parking outside your house in a tank, pointing it straight through your front window... 'Bullying' is an anthropomorphic word which fails to describe the behaviour.

That's good to hear.

For your information, 'pretty little falcons' kill other small furry things, so they are not

sweet & innocent themselves.

As for the crows, they are bound to chase away a bird of prey. They are feeling threatened &

protecting their territory.

    • We are looking for a new home for a beloved pet cat, Pip. Pip is an 11-year-old female. Later this year we are relocating to Australia. The long journey, along with a likely move into a busy household with young children, wouldn’t be right for her — so we’re hoping to find her a child and pet-free home where she can feel settled and loved. Pip is affectionate and enjoys company, particularly sitting on your lap or curling up at the end of the bed. She has spent most of her life with outdoor access but is also comfortable indoors and uses a litter tray when needed. She’s small in size and in good health. Her slightly puffed lower lip gives her a unique and endearing look. If you’re looking for a calm, cuddly companion, Pip might just be your cat. If you’d like to meet her, please contact me to arrange a visit. I can also be contacted on  07900 671 018 Thank you
    • There was also one on Goose Green. I have no idea if it's still there.
    • Not just NX Rd  there are other Community notice boards i.e Sainsbury's Local, Charter School/Tessa Jowell Centre. I check the Sainsbury's one when I think about it and remove any old/outdated notices. This is not locked - so anyone can post.
    • Yes, that's a great idea, but the companies online seem to be very cagey about costs, which implies it would be more than I would be willing to pay. And If it was a cheap "collect and shred" service, being cynical, I would assume that actually the shredding probably wasn't going to happen 🤣
