stefarron
Wondered if anyone knows what happened to the small falcon that got chased into trees by a load of bullying crows..the display came to an abrupt end and the last I heard was that the falcon was seen being attacked...hope it ended well for the falcon.. buggie
Saw the 2nd display and they mentioned a bird being battered and bruised in the first display, very sweetly they were hugely apologetic that they'd had to end the first display so abruptly and that those unable to stay till 4pm had missed out.I remember the crows bullying one of their birds last year but they picked a fight with the wrong bird and were outwitted, guess it was their year to win :0( Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17288-falconry-display-at-dulwich-park/#findComment-436154 Share on other sites
Sue
Sorry as I am for the falcon, it was quite amusing when the display ended almost before it had begun.Hope they managed to get it back. I thought it was two birds which had gone AWOL, for some reason? Frankito
I hate crows. I am teaching the dog to catch them and kill them. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17288-falconry-display-at-dulwich-park/#findComment-436190 Share on other sites

Frankito
But they tried to kill the pretty little falcon and no doubt in front of loads of eager little kids who must be having nightmares as we speak.Shoot them all, I say. malleymoo
The falcon ended up in the bushes near the cafe and was tracked down by some rather weird looking equipment. TheyManaged to coax it down all in the middle of note-orious's performance Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17288-falconry-display-at-dulwich-park/#findComment-436214 Share on other sites
BrandNewGuy
Anyone who flies a falcon will be well aware that the local birds will take action if they feel threatened. To them it would be like me parking outside your house in a tank, pointing it straight through your front window... 'Bullying' is an anthropomorphic word which fails to describe the behaviour. (6)That's good to hear. For your information, 'pretty little falcons' kill other small furry things, so they are not sweet & innocent themselves. As for the crows, they are bound to chase away a bird of prey. They are feeling threatened &protecting their territory.
