Not as clean as CP 1 o'clock club, and definitely not as friendly. Watch out especially for the foul tempered spanish woman, who couldn't even manage a Hello or a Good-bye despite the fact that there were only 2 other children, so not busy at all.

She did however manage to shout at me when I accidentally parked my buggy in the wrong place. There are no signs saying where to park buggies anyway, and staff had filled what should have been the buggy park with toys b/c it was raining. Little Saff was about 4 months old at the time. I was totally haggard with lack of sleep and PND. It would have been obvious to anyone with half a brain that I just needed somewhere to sit out of the rain for 15min to b/f Little Saff.

I wrote a complaint to the council, and we haven't been back since. (And edited to say that I've also heard of someone else with a similar experience there, so just have a pinch of salt if you go there.)

We usually only go on Saturdays and with a toddler and really like it. I really like the outdoor bit in particular, and indoor bit isnt bad, but you can find a long list of complaints about friendliness of staff in particular when it comes to buggies. You can't take buggies inside and are supposed to fold them and park them in the "shed" where they keep the outdoor toys. Since you can't leave a baby inside unsupervised, I'm still yet to work out how that works if you have a little one.
Yes the park itself at Telegraph is very nice. Every third Saturday there is a farmers market there. There is also a new-ish community cafe at the top of the hill. The cafe is generally very child friendly, except I think they have 'quiet Fridays'. xx

The buggy thing at Telegraph Hill is a bit of a bummer. But other than that, I've found it quite a nice little set-up - particularly the tea and toast you can buy. That said, I tend to get there fairly early when it's quiet and my kids are past the buggy stage. It's not massive, so I can see that the staff may get frazzled more when it gets busier.

The park itself is nice - a little different from others around with the long slide and the toddlers little house/slide. But not so big.

Last year there was a van selling nice coffee and lunch bits in good weather - not sure if it's back this year as haven't been up there recently.

The van is back now and will be there right through the summer. The cafe at the top of the hill is good too.

The staff are annoyed about the buggy rules too apparently - they say that Lewisham Council have set the rules and they have to follow them. On nice days everyone just seems to leave their buggies along the railings and only bother to put them in the shed if its raining.

    • There is no other way than to move out. I am in such a situation myself where our neighbours are complete assholes. They breached the Covenants and when we pointed it they said to take them to court if we want.  Unfortunately, they have made our life miserable and we have to move out.    What helped in our situation is having a calm conversation face to face. It only happened after they tasted their own medicine(i know it's mean but nothing else helps).   I know it's unfair but better move out and prioritise your mental health.
    • Thank you so much for the reply. Jeffery turned up a couple of hours ago. I edited title to say found but somehow it didn't save. Thank you so much for going to the trouble of posting this sighting... even if it didn't turn out to be Jeff.  Jeff came running down the street like a bat out of hell and ran into the house. Never been so relieved. Mind you i've been up and down the roads shouting his name out all day. Even in Wingfield street. 🤗
    • I saw a smallish black cat outside 1 Wingfield Street just now.  I am not convinced it was Jeff, the eyes look a little different.
    • When I worked just off Long Lane, it used to take me over half an hour to cycle there so it’s definitely not in East Dulwich.  can this be moved to the lounge please?
