Pickle
Quick, Mockney Piers, you could put your little one on the show and maybe meet the lovely Katie in person :) With perseverance he may get on when he's about 16 or so. Moos
That you'll take them on a Laker holiday.Saw the programme last night with a despairing mother holding a baby and small child at the airport, having turned up for her flight to be told that SkyTrain had gone bust. Really felt for her (though she's probably a granny now and has forgotten all about it). ????
She's doing more of the general Cbeebies presenting too now....I must say I'm in Mockney's gang on this too. Er, not the reason I enquired for how to get on the show I hasten to add. Pickle
And to stay on topic, don't promise your 4 year old that Santa may bring him his very own Buzz Lightyear toy for Christmas when it's only April. What was I thinking - it's going to be a long old year with him in my ear many times a day asking whether it's Christmas yet. Otta
I'd just get it and say Santa sent it early, by parcel force! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/17379-things-not-to-promise-your-kids/#findComment-437765 Share on other sites
Pickle
Problem is, Santa has only just delivered last year's presents (bikes). Word has it he was concerned that London's winter conditions would hamper use, so he waited until Easter to instruct us to go and buy them. I think that by 5 my son will already be highly sceptical of Santa and his delivery schedules! The toy concerned is not only highly annoying, it causes fights between 4 year old boys everywhere we go, and is ?50. I'm hoping that by December he'll want something different. Surely by the time he's in reception and nearly 5 a Buzz toy will be totally uncool? Ant
She's incredibly young, that I Can Cook lady. Not that that's a good or bad thing, of course. Just saying because I remember being surprised when I heard. Had expected her to be older (from her confidence and general manner rather, not her looks). Otta
I don't think she looks that young either, I'd have said at least late 20's, but probably early 30s. How old is she? mockney piers
She reminds me of an older girl I had a huge crush on at my saturday job when I was younger, I guess I'd have been 16, she an ancient 19, left school and everything. So even though more than 20 years have flowed since then, she sort of still has that a bit older than me mystique, even though I'd hazard a guess at about 25. buggie
I had such a thing for Chris Jarvis (many years ago) that a friend wrote and got him to send me a signed photo and good luck letter when I moved to London :-$ was little bit heartbroken when I found out I'd stand no chance! Belle
I don't share the mr bloom thing, but do find the theme tune annoyingly catchy, to the point where me and husband were singing it down the M6 yesterday, kept the little one bemused/amused.is buzz really ?50??? argh! that's too much plus not keen on anything that causes any (more) fights over toys, getting hoarse shouting 'share' as it is. I had thought about it being a present for our son from the new baby in sept but maybe not. pIckle if your son is into Toy Story (mine currently obsessed), there's a good magazine that comes with semi decent freebies - this week's had a space sabre which my son is currently clasping in his cot whilst he naps. Also picked up a t-shirt and bath sponge thing v cheaply in Asda. ClareC
Mr Bloom reminds me of a young Mark Owen! As for Chris Jarvis, I had suspected as much but didn't know for sure!! Agree Katie looks older than 23!I too watch far too much cbeebies these days..... Currently watching Mr Bloom for the sec nd time again today!!! Also end up with the theme tune engrained in my mind!! Ruth_Baldock
Fuschia; we love Small Potatoes in the Baldock house- always sing the theme tune when cooking anything tattie based.ClareC; YES, that's who Mr Bloom reminds me of...For those interested; Jacob Scipio who presents Kerwhizz (infuriating) used to be one of my mentees. That's not his real accent, that's all I'm saying...
