Is there a reason why there is not any financial education in our school system? Is the financial education taught providing our children with the information to not only survive but to thrive in our current economy??

Some time ago I read a book by Robert Kiyosaki, called Rich Dad Poor Dad and then gradually progressed onto playing a board game called Cashflow. I was (am) hooked, a seemingly simple concept which is being utilised to educate people in a fun way...unusual I know.

I would like to help, and I would like to increase the financial education available to people at all ages, experience and education and truly believe that playing the cashflow game can assist on your own journey, whatever stage you are at. If you have reached the top then maybe you can help too. Please contact me for information about how you could assist or join in with a Cashflow game. Steve

    • Why have I got a feeling there was also a connection with the beehive in Brixton on that road next to the gym
    • Ah, thanks,  it all comes flooding back. I've actually been to the Hastings shop, I'd forgotten all about it, along with her name! Didn't she (in between?)  take over what  was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination?  In fact, didn't they transform it from The Magdala (much missed) to The Magnolia? With flowery wallpaper covering the front of the bar? Which reminds me of the pub's brief period after The Magnolia  as the ill-conceived and ill-fated The Patch.

    • A belated recommendation for Iain and Paul od Oddbods who came to help me with various jobs before Christmas.  Painting ceiling, renewing silicone around bath, repairing a window sill which was almost beyond repair and hanging a large mirror.   Very happy with their work and they are friendly and very reliable and excellent at communicating.  No hesitation in recommending them.
