Nero
We've got venetian blinds, which are mucky. (My nana might call them 'shit 'arbourers'.) Do those cleaners actually work, the ones you slide along the slats? Any other ways of doing it efficiently, as it looks like a looooong job to me. Asset
Gawd, I used to have some fairly expensive metal ones from Johnny Looloos in the kitchen and tried to clean them a couple of times but the grease and yuk refused to come off not to mention the unwieldyness of the blinds, I even took it out to the garden and tried to clean it all laid out flat on the lawn. I chucked them away and now have a cheap one that when it gets too filthy will be replaced. Throw away culture and all that. The cleaners may work on a bit of dust but grease and fat from a kitchen - no way. Mscrawthew
I always put mine in the bath (apart from the top bit where the mechanism is)with some warm water and a squeeze of Stardrops (You can get it in Sainsburys) leave to soak for a while and then rinse with the shower hose. Leave them to dry a little and then put them back up and leave them open to dry off properly. HTH :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1755-how-to-clean-blinds/#findComment-49309 Share on other sites
