Eating off the Manor.

Eating is such a joy.

Luckily ( for me ) I travel to many parts of our great city in the working week & I feel we are truly spoilt for choice.

So, I'd like to start a thread for "Off the Manor" eateries.

( though still easily accessible by public transport )

Of late I've been based in Hoxton Square E1.

So I can recommend The following....both accessible by the new East london line ( hoxton or shoreditch high St )

Cay Tre. 332 Old Street EC1

KEU bahn mi deli. 301 Old Street EC1

Both are Vietnamese and owned by the same people. The first is a sit down canteen style. Not particularly fancy but the food is very good/fresh. Charcoal grilled barbecue pork, with chilled noodles and spring rolls is heavenly. ?6:00 at lunch time. Also loads of other street food and excellent Pho noodle soups all at ?6:00

Helpful & joyful staff, which is a bonus.

The deli is sit in or take-away, far newer/more stylish with lots of different options too. Vietnamese/French bread baguettes and one plate meals.Plus good coffee.

Oh, and lastly, the visual people traffic is "delicious" too.

Cafe east in surrey keys. Also Vietnamese but constantly wowing people. And it used to be a really naff chain bar too

Underneath Hungerford Bridge on the Southbank until early Sept there is a catering truck Pitt Cue co they are serving amazing BBQ, if you like your pork pulled! this is the place to go.
