No easy escape route, friendly staff, totally free and you can join/ swap library books there

Nice comfy sofas to feed babies on and easy to watch toddlers

There's also a Bookstart at the Albrighton on a Thurs morning 10-11.30, ideal for all ages under 5.

Devonlass - Bew Court is on the Lordship Lane Estate - top of Lordship Lane (up past the library and the Plough) opposite the bottom of Overhill Road. Bus stop for 185, 176 and 197 just opposite if you're coming from ED/Peckham Rye direction

There is also one on Friday mornings at Rye Oak school and Saturday morning at Peckham Library I believe. It is one of my son's favourite activities.
