Hello everybody - any recommendations for a sleep consultant or night nanny? We need some help getting our 1.5 year old to sleep better. He's currently waking 2 - 6 times a night and requiring patting and shushing for upto 40 minutes to get back to sleep. This is not a sustainable situation for our family and we need some help. I'd love to hear from you if you have a recommendation or would like to share your experience of a method that's worked for you. Thank you!

I feel for you as that sounds so hard.

Before you go down the (very expensive!) private sleep consultant route i would suggest going to your baby clinic. I know that there is a local-ish sleep specialist (i think she might be in Tulse Hill..? Im sure if you were to push your health visitor you could get an NHS appointment with her.

She ran a sleep workshop at Rosendale Children's centre once so if all fails, maybe call them and see if they have her details.

Good luck!

Hi, we could help you. @ www.totalpickle.com we look at your situation and come up with a personalised, tailored sleep plan. We have a range of packages, from face time consultations from the comfort of your home or we can do a home visit (we are based locally) where we have a chat and help with your needs. All packages come with at least two weeks support while we sleep train.

Hope this helps. Please feel free to get in touch if you'd like to find out more?

Applemarmalade, we were in exact same position 2 years ago. Horrible!

Call Judy Clark ‭07849 583200‬ she also has a website at Babywinkz.com

She had our 18month old sleeping through the night within a week. It was life changing!

The process was a real eye opener. Not cheap but totally worth it

Hello! We used Kate from total pickle and she was brilliant. It?s the best investment we?ve made :) What I realised in the experience was it really isn?t just about the plan, it?s about the support you?re given throughout the weeks where you?re putting it into place. Kate was so personable and fast to come back on concerns / questions, it made all the difference.

    • Thats the problem, I dont have a solution, but I can see disadvantages of some of the proposed solutions.  Not selling it to a foreign company is my preference but after that I have no idea of the best path / solution with the least impact for all. Whats your view Sue ?
