  1. We had some good advice from a dermatology nurse specialist at a clinic in GP on burbage road which changed out overall practice of managing eczema. Use the hydrocortisone to manage a flare. Look up finger tip units for the volume you should be using. Keep going for at least 5 days and then wean use. Use emollients at least twice daily, you can get emollient packs which have loads of different types so that you can see which one suits the skin best. If it looks at all infected, red, inflamed you might need antibiotics or anti fungal creams to settle it. This time of year is hard and we are seeing a flare in previously well controlled eczema. Good luck
  2. I?ve heard that the classic baby bjorn slings are very good for reflux babies as they hold them so upright unlike the soft stretchy ones such as a moby wrap which allow a more curled up posture. I know people who have given up very early on lie flat prams and moved into something with a slight incline (even the car seat) or just sling the whole time. I think lots of the standard baby advice goes out of the window with a true reflux baby; that can feel very uncomfortable but you will ultimately know what is best for you all. Will PM you to organise cuddles! X
  3. Oh midivydale... you poor things. You had such a rough time last time-can come and cuddle an unsettled baby for you if required? Treat them like a bottle of pop: no shaking; no quick transitions from lying, has omeprazole been increased with increased weight? Has ranitidine been trialled? Are you just on neocate for milk? Shift parent with OH as much as possible to get as much rest as you can, pull every favour you can to get rest, go easy on yourself, meals don?t all need to be home cooked and the launderette can do the washing-happy to help with dropping this off and collecting if needed.
  4. Are you staying in the property whilst it?s renovated? This will make a difference. Yes it will be more money if vacant.
  5. Jolly foresters run sessions in dulwich Park and Bessemer grange nature garden but maybe too young-worth a call? Have you tried the centre for wildlife gardening? They may have ideas...?
  6. Also had an email saying they are going to open the paddling pool for this weekend only! Go along and enjoy the sun!
  7. My 5 year old is desperate to ride a horse (a big one!)he?s just 5-any ideas on where runs lessons for this age group? Thanks
  8. You can do interconnecting suites in some places or I know Princesa Yaiza in Lanzarote offers a kids room with two singles and a trundle bed option. Soar mill cove in Devon also offers good set ups for three kids.
  9. Baby clothes and toys can go to the Salvation Army in camberwell behind the library
  10. Nicola Watson is excellent at child sleep solutions; very supportive and I?ve had success with her 1:1 sessions, Skype calls work too (different children different problems!) http://www.childsleepsolutions.co.uk
  11. I?ve been and donated a stack of things to the Salvation Army 105 lomond grove in camberwell today. Really easy, parked outside they helped me carry in the bits I had (childrens clothes toys books, bassinet, baby bouncers etc) were very grateful and will be doing the same next time. I?ve tried to give things away via the EDF previously and it takes so Much more effort than popping into the Salvation Army did today.
  12. If you are going to have both with you all the time or no nursery one for older one then I would go for a Mountain buggy duet. Otherwise Phil and teds, icandy peach, uppababy vista could all work. Good luck
  13. Southwark look like they do a few courses, more drop in at weekend; http://www.2.southwark.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/14662/course_guide_2017-18 Lots of the galleries seem to do family events Few art and craft one off events listed on hoop app which might be worth a look too
  14. Gladwins farm could be possible; the farmhouse sleeps 16 and hadleigh cottage sleeps another 4; the two interlink so can function as one big place. Gladwins is very child friendly, cook meals available on site or they will organise babysitting if you want to escape to a local pub or le maison talbooth for a good meal.
  15. We always do stories snuggled on the bottom bunk, our children don't have drinks at night. Changing sheets isn't the easiest but I layer them for night time emergencies which works well.
  16. Thank you so helpful, all of the washing in the house now done for a micro second until tomorrow but hopefully will have a machine running by Saturday!
  17. Nhs referral to the team at kings or st Thomas's? Their teams are both very very good.
  18. We got these https://www.sleeplandbeds.co.uk/solid-wood-white-bunk-bed-with-staircase-storage When ours were similar ages, they love them and they are very sturdy.
  19. Anyone know of a local launderette which will service wash? Our washing machine has broken and waiting for a new one! Thanks
  20. Bessemer Grange-well worth a look, excellent school IME (although only early years experience to date).
  21. If they are maxi cosi seats I recall reading somewhere they may replace for free; here's the info http://www.maxi-cosi.co.uk/gb-en/service/swap-service.aspx#
  22. Sounds really tricky for you all, I would support suggestions to stop or limit the nap to 20 mins never sleeping after 4pm. I would also stop screen time after 5 if you are still having problems. We've been in a similar position before and that was the professional advice we received at that time. As I understand it even if children look like they are relaxing with a screen it has really detrimental effects on their ability to switch off. We now have slipped back into our old routine again of TV pre bath and at the moment sleep is ok, if we go through a tricky patch though we readjust TV time as one of our first steps. Good luck
