The other frosty morning (it was still dark) I was sitting in my car waiting for the windscreen to defrost properly when a speedy lorry went by me and pulled up suddenly and parked partially on the footpath outside the CPT. This I thought was strange enough but out pops a man and a lady, both wearing luminous jackets. They go either side of the road on the footpath and behind where I was sitting. Promptly they both return holding two sacks each of rubbish. The man reachs the lorry first, opens up the back of it and throws the bags in. He then goes and helps the lady as she was struggling and in go the other two bags. I thought it strange that the vehicle was unmarked and not a council one. It wasn't rubbish collection day and besides they were obviously selective in what they took. This puzzled me as most if not all people have bins.I didn't see where the rubbish came from but I suspect the bags were not in bins. As they returned to the vehicle I was at this point hoping my increasing curiousity would be satisfied but found that though the back of the man's yellow jacket was blank, the orange one the lady was wearing had 'Royal Mail' on it. Is this a case for Morse or is there a simple explanation?

At the weekend, there was a whole loads of bags outside one of the houses next to the CPT - it looked like someone had cleared out their house. The house was about 4 doors down from the CPT - the corner house on Underhill Rd/Darrell Rd.

now Mr MW74 put a bag of clothes out for a lithuanian charity collection last friday, only for it to still be sitting there friday night. He ended up taking it to the Mind charity shop in LL Saturday. What's the crack with the so called lithuanian racketeering?

they collect the stuff/ take other chariies bags, sort it and flog it on in Lithunaia & the baltics in markets

scum

they may out pictures of children etc on the leaflets and remark that the company provides employment for poor people in far away countries.

the same people are alos involved in gun running and women trafficking - I kid you not - most hand guns in circulation in the UK at the minute are lithuanian sourced and smuggled. The prostitution side of the game changes daily, but there are still women from the baltics ( as well as form all eover the world ) being held as effective slaves to these people.

dont give them anything

take your stuff to MIND etc. the walk will do you good.

Legally, they dont say they are a charity anywhwere on the leaflets - they will quite a company number - which people often assume is a charity number.

They are not doing anything wrong - everything they say is correct - its just that a picture of babies or a dove and some rubbish about some people not bveing able to afford good clothes for the winter seems to be saying this is a charitable casue - its not

It also includes the short part of Goodrich Road between Upland Road and Dunstans Road. Tomskip I used 0800 138 9081 then option 3 The first person I spoke to didn't know anything about it but when I rang a second time the person I spoke to had to download something to give me access to it. It has been planned for ages and was supposed to start today but there are no signposts up yet. There is another separate school street which covers Etherow street and Friern Road between Goodrich Road and Lordship Lane.
