Hi, do anyone knows how child modelling agencies work? Is it a good idea to pay some fees upfront covering studio session and portfolio? Thank you. PM please

Do not pay fees up front.

Our daughters were spotted by Kids London and we have not had to pay a single penny for them to be taken on and just sent I phone photos.

If an agency is suggesting you need to pay for a portfolio then they are probably making their money off parents, rather than by getting work.

My daughter is with an agency for acting/voiceovers (although I think other children are on the books for modelling) and there were no fees to pay upfront although she did need professional headshots for her online profile. We took these ourself with a decent digital camera.
