Established ED NANNY SHARE looking for families

We have a brilliant nanny share which we are looking for a new family / families to join. One little girl will be leaving in Feb and remaining are my son (2.5yrs) and another toddler boy (2yrs) who have been looked after by our lovely nanny ? Jaki ? since they were 1 year / 9 months old. Both our boys will be reducing their days in the future so there are lots of options open if you are looking for a full time (5 days) or 2 / 3 days etc.

We are based in East Dulwich (Peckham and Honor Oak areas could work as well) and we are happy to host the share at our houses, or if you would prefer the children to be at your house for your days, we would be happy with that.

The hours are 8am-6pm and Jaki picks the children up in the morning and drops them home each evening which is a massive help for working Mums, but if you would prefer to do drop off / pick up, that is fine too. The arrangement is really flexible and all of our individual requirements are considered.

Jaki has been a nanny for over 25 years and having grown up children and grandchildren of her own, she is extremely capable and loving. Having looked after lots of children during her career, including babies as young as 6 months, she instills confidence in us parents and is a great support.

Jaki prepares fresh meals (including soft food for weaning babes) and snacks for the children each day, which they sit to eat at the table together. They have a great routine and all have daily naps which Jaki sets up travel cots for, to make them comfortable and cosy. Each day is varied, Jaki takes them out to parks, playgrounds, local farms and soft play. They interact with other children looked after by local nannies and do crafts / play with toys at home.

I cannot credit Jaki enough for the lovely behaviour she has instilled in my son and all the extra support she offers to me as a first time working Mum (babysitting / a listening ear). The children all get on so well and really look forward to seeing each other, which is heart warming to see.

Please feel free to comment below with general questions or direct message me if you would like some more info / have a chat.

Thanks,

Louisa

We are one of the other families in the share. Jaki has looked after our now 2 year 2 month old son since he was 9 months old. Jaki has provided a fantastic level of care for him ... and we fully endorse that she has instilled a lovely behaviour. From the start I have felt thoroughly comfortable leaving him in her care and despite the heartache of missing him when I am at work I never have to feel worried that he is not being wonderfully cared him and having fun without me! Jaki has a great method for morning excursions, routines and meal times. The food she cooks is always varied and healthy. Her level of experience and maturity as a nanny is very evident. She is also very understanding and flexible with us ... the pick-ups and drop-offs, availability for babysitting and kind approach to first-time, working parents is invaluable. Very keen not to lose her as my life won't function without her! Also very happy to answer any questions you may have, Katie

We are the family leaving the share as I am about to go on maternity leave, having joined in September 2015. We were first time parents and were naturally very nervous about how our daughter would cope full time in a nanny share. She has absolutely blossomed being part of this extended family, Jaki is so loving and patient with her (and us!). We couldn't have asked for a better nanny for our child.

Our daughter was a very reluctant walker when she started and within a few weeks she was walking, running and climbing. I think because Jaki takes the kids to so many fun and exciting places that she was desperate to be able to join in more and do what the other kids were.

Jaki got our daughter into a really strong routine that all the children share and it has made our home life much easier as she started consistently sleeping through the night and maintained the routine at weekends which is something we struggled with and made returning to work so much easier.

Jaki has been great with us as parents, picking up and dropping off our daughter every day and patiently waiting if we get delayed on our way home, listening and supporting our many ups and downs over the years as we go through each stage with our daughter (potty training, sleep regression etc.). We are really sad to be leaving the share and are happy to give references to anyone joining.

What lovely recommendations for your Nanny, Jaki.

We are looking for a nanny share but from end Oct/Nov this year. Would that be of interest?

I'm a first time Mum, with a lovely son called Gabriel. He will be 1yr old when I return to work in November. I'm looking to find a wonderful, caring, fun and responsible nanny who I can nanny share with likeminded parents.

Your recommendations sound great. Let me know if you're interested and would like to chat further.

Best

Rachael
