I think the main point MNH was trying to make is that Coulson, when he was in public office, was required to report any received income from other sources under the Special Adviser's code of conduct to avoid any conflict of interest issues. This omission raises questions about Coulson's integrity and activities.

Andy Coulson's payout: a problem for the Tories?

Big mistake, in my opinion, of including the charge of illegally accessing the voicemail of murdered schoolgirl Milly Dowler against Rebecca Brooks and Andy Coulson.

There's enough evidence to convict them of wrong doing without this charge, that, given it's emotive nature and the Guardian's incorrect facts, may see them get off.

It would be ironic if the Guardian's misrepresentation regarding deleting of emails allowed two Murdoch kingpins to walk away Scot free.

interesting developments no?

It also appears that the global press is interested but most other British papers strangely muted

(also posted in a thread I thought was active but now headlined "closed")

The DV level of security clearance checks bank accounts and requires changes reported I think.

So the security officer would have asked for an explanation.

    • Shame, go there!  Although embarrassingly we only used it takeaway during lockdown.  It's a Persian store/cafe/restaurant if you are unaware of the cultural reference in the name.   Just checked the menu and it is phenomenal and good value too, thanks for reminding me to go there  https://foratasteofpersia.co.uk/restaurant/
    • Avoiding the issue Bob, start a war and then walk away pretending that it was not you.  Good idea for a comedy sketch featuring John Cheese, sorry Cleese. In terms of what to guy.  Fortunately the modern food store makes this easy.  Thought that this was Waitrose's finest but disappointed to see that it is also on sale in Sainsbury's.  I understand that the (old) penny store, Marks and Sparks fails in terms of cheese selection boxes.
